Summary: Print shows crowded Union camp located near railroad station and building with sign "Sanitary Commission Lodge for Invalid Soldiers," during the Civil War. "Soldier's Rest, located near the Orange and Alexandria Rail Road Depot, was originally used as a "Rest" for men in trains. It was diverted for use as a hospital from May 28 to October 4, 1864."
